Difference between OEM hardware and non-OEM? (1 Viewer)

I found this really cheap core 2 duo processor on the net. but it was OEM so i got a bit worried. What's the dif between OEM hardware and non-OEM?thx

just the packaging. usually oem is just like a white box or something like that, lol

OEM items & prices are only available when buying a whole new computer as a bundle of assorted hardware.
Non-OEM items can be bought individually in boxes such as a box of sound card and tends to be more expensive.

So no usage restrictions like you can only use it with certain hardware etc etc?

oem is the exact same thing, except sometimes there is less packaging or it will come in a box with a sticker or something on it. so yeah its the exact same product, just cheaper. i say go for it dude
