Hi BoS,
Recently I was looking through my trial HSC paper for IPT and noticed that I got a question wrong that related to privacy issues.

I wrote down that information needs to be protected from hackers, but apparently this is a security issue. What are the key differences between security and privacy issues and are the two interrelated ?

If someone could answer this I would be most thankful

Thanks
Robert

just a rough guess while im half asleep...

privacy issues would be like the confidentiality of individuals private information etc..

and security would be to stop hackers and stuff..

interrelation? you need security to allow the privacy of information?
sorry if its a little vague/wrong im half asleep hah

That sounded about right to me!

Privacy - protection of details
Security - methods used to protect privacy
