the ones that say MP3 can also play CDs with songs burnt on it in mp3 format

so 1 CD can hold approx. 750mb/5mb = 150 songs

You can convert the mp3s you download into CD format (to work in normal CD players) when you burn them, but you will fit a lot more songs on if you burn them as mp3s.

Depends on how you burn your files, a normal CD player can read it. But get the mp3 one, it's much better.

Why bother having discs which can skip when you can get MP3 / USB Flash drives..
They're enough to fit around 50 songs for 256 MB

Yeah, for example, if you use nero to burn, you would burn the Cd's as a "Data CD" instead of an "Audio CD"

mp3 discmans are usually heaps better to get. Also, they dont use as much battery because the CDs arent constantly spinning .

...Well Mp3 discmans are generally cheaper, coming in at $100 - $150, and you can listen to your existing collection of CDs without having to rip them. Oh, and with 700megs a CD, you can't go wrong. Though, I guess flash based players are better for running and stuff because of their size and lack of skipping.

Skipping generally isnt an issue with an mp3 discman unless you are playing an audio CD.
