Differences of English Standard and Advance (1 Viewer)

At some of you may know, it is around the time to choose subjects for year 11.. one thing that really puzzle me is that the differences between English Standard and Advance.. heard they basically do the same work but using different text.. so would studying Standard be an advantage since it uses easier text?

In standard English, you do not do shakespeare text, while advanced does. They basically study the same topics, like journeys in year 12, but the other modules are different. It is nearly impossible to get a band 6 for standard english in the HSC, only about 3 or 2 people have ever got it.
