Does anyone know if different texts for paper 1/2 scale differently in the end?

Say for Area of study, the last question.

If your school does Romulus my Father, and another does Peter Skrzynecki, and both essays got a raw mark of 12/15.

Would one get pulled up to say 14 because it's a 'harder' text?

I don't know the exact details of how it works but there is definitely adjustment through aligning to account for differences between texts. I don't think they exactly judge which text is 'harder', but I think the different options are aligned differently so that a similar amount of people would be getting 15/15 or 14/15 for each text, so that it is fair. It would depend on that years exam question and cohort from year to year though it is not a set amount.
