They probably meant y''+4y'+y=sin(x) cos it's kinda redundant to have y'+4y'

It is odd to write the equation as

$y' + 4y' - y = \sin{x}$

as it so obviously simplifies to

$5y' - y = \sin{x}$

and so I wonder if the question is meant to be

$y'' + 4y' - y = \sin{x}$

in which case the answer would be 2.
