Back in my day (I started the Leaving Certificate exams in 1916) standards were a lot higher. If you don't believe me have a look at the 1916 exam at (dare I say) drbuchanan's website at <a href="http://www4.tpgi.com.au/nanahcub/1916-1989-2001.pdf">www4.tpgi.com.au/nanahcub/1916-1989-2001.pdf</a> and compare it with Peter Brown's 2003 exam! Mine was much better and drbuchanan is raising the bar, NOT Peter Brown.
