Discovery related texts - Short stories (1 Viewer)

Hi, I need to choose a related text to go with Go Back To where you Came From. I am currently looking for a short story that encompasses the AOS of Discovery and has either strong links or contrasts to Go Back.

I really like the gothic literature texts, and wanted to find an Edgar Allan Poe short story that would fit. However i do not know Poe's work too well and I don't have the time to read everything single one of his texts to find a suitable one. Thus i was wondering if any one knew of any short story that would be suitable.

Also, if you have other short story suggestions that are not Poe, I am open to that too.
