So after tonights lecture all i have to say is "are you fucking serious"? And below is one of the gem.

Ryle:"weekly tut answer usually uploaded on friday, but since i like to go home early
on Friday i'll upload it on Monday."

Also not to mention that the unit wasn't even uploaded on blackboard.

And this guy getting paid 100k+ a year.......wtf. Now i see why past threads mention to avoid him.

Well, not really his fault about whether the unit is uploaded on blackboard right now. Generally, it's common at the beginning of each semester for a bit of a lag about student access to units on Blackboard.

But anyway, that tute uploading thing doesn't bother me that much since I really only look at tute solutions before exams anyway. What REALLY shits me though (which happened with 329 last sem) is when lecture slides aren't uploaded before the lecture and they have errors in them which mean that each weeks lecture slides need to be updated so you're not even sure if you have the updated/correct slides in the end.

tut uploading doesn't bother as well since i have all the solutions, but how long does it take to upload 300kb pdf file? how about abit of professionalism.

haha yeah fair enough I guess that is pretty unprofessional of him. Well when our lecture finally started (there was like a room clash or something, so we used the vacant lecture theatre nextdoor) after 20mins, he did mention that he'd upload the answers on monday but failed to mention why (i guess he learnt his lesson )

I just found it funny how many times he mentioned that he spent the last 6 months in the US at Princeton. Its like the academics version of name dropping?

Well, if it's any comfort, apparently, Macquarie will be changing to a new online learning system from next semester onwards, which will hopefully fix up a lot of the current Blackboard issues.

really? good news. I really hate it most of the units only released on the first day of the semester, i mean not that hard to put the units on blackboard a day or two before hand.

Apparently it's Blackboard that prevents it somehow, I've had some lecturers who deliberately made the unit available a semester ahead to get round this problem.
