I would appreciate if anyone could direct me to the relevant jacaranda page or a website as I have no idea about this qu in a paper...

To determine the effect on the electric current generated in the armature coil when the distance between the external magnets is varied..

The closer the magnets to each other (and hence to the armature coil), the stronger the magnetic field in the armature region and the greater the current generated. The converse is also true.
