When studying for one of my exams, I noticed that lots of questions were exactly the same as in other high schools. Some questions were literally written word for word. Such as that "marty the martian socks" perms and combs question.

It happens everywhere all the time, teachers become too fed up making questions and see attractive questions in other papers for them to use. It's particularly a gold mine for math because they know students avoid papers from 2019 and before since they are old syllabus, but a lot of the questions are in topics that are still assessed.

I remember last year, I was watching my teacher pick questions for an internal task from other schools trials etc, it was pretty helpful

Anyways not much more to add than what’s been said, schools would usually purchase from a company from example (which is why they’d be the same) or they would take them from previous years

Yeah I’ve noticed the same for maths and sciences, eventhough most of the papers are different there’s usually like 1 question in all of them.

But tbf it’s better than my physics test last term which was literally just module 6 HSC questions (and she told us this in advance), pretty much a free 100% if you did all of them beforehand

I think it's like no secret the top selective schools copy the occasional q from eo. the one that comes to mind is that i remember one vector proof q from my first task in mx1 was from a trial from another school
