First of all sorry if it sounds pretty weird (my first post) but as the title says do half yearlies matter in year 11 if i'm not getting an atar? I've always wanted this question answered but every time i ask a teacher i get a response that is said to me in some other language i can't understand because they start talking to me with these weird words...

Even if you are getting an ATAR, Year 11 doesnt count towards your final results. As Hawkrider has mentioned, it is more about the skills you gain from putting in the work to achieve a result. If you arent getting an ATAR, then you really dont need to stress too much about school. Just put in a decent effort (show up to class, do some homework, maybe a tiny bit of study before exams) and you should do fine. You probably wont need super high marks, but employers will probably expect respectable HSC marks.
