Hey guys,
Because of the blurry requirements you need for optom, I've absolutely no idea where I lie, or if I have a chance of getting into the course.
My ATAR came out at 92.70 and my UMAT has me in the 91st percentile.

It'd also be great if someone could tell me how UNSW considers the ATAR and UMAT when choosing who to accept into the course.
Thank you very, very much~

solid UMAT, but your ATAR is a bit on the low side.
I think your ATAR is too low tbh.

They say that to be competitive you need an ATAR of at least 95 and UMAT scores in the mid to high range. Your ATAR is a bit low so make sure you have a Plan B if you don't get an offer (e.g. UNSW BSc, Vision Science Plan and then transfer after 1 year).

UMAT is more than enough. i know people who got in with low 80s a few years back. ATAR is definitely too low. realistically u need at least a 97
