I understand insects excrete uric acid because they need to conserve water, how is this done?
And do insects "urinate" as such?

I am slightly confused?

They excrete small amounts of uric acid, some species excrete a paste.
unlike humans it would be like a small drop every day or so depending on the insect

Ok cool so it is excreted in the same way humans excrete urea or is it done in another way like how fish excrete ammonia through their gills?
