Hey guys. Do internals significantly contribute to your atar? I'm quite concerned bc my marks haven't been great.

Internals contribute 50% to your final mark. The other 50% comes from the HSC exam. So yes, they do matter.

However, not performing well in internals doesn't always mean the end for your ATAR. There have been many people who were able to compensate by doing extremely well in the HSC exam.

Yes, internals contributes to atar and if your marks are shit and ranks are shit your atar is probs going to be low as your atar is an average of your school moderated assessment marks, external hsc exam.

But if your school isn’t ranked in the 370’s like urs and in the top 20 (average school rank of a person on here) then he has a chance most likely.

Still task 2 (perhaps) task 3 and trials to pull up regardless of your current rank/school rank.

Hmm, do you go to the same school I went to?

Not sure though (unless the ranking you gave is as of 2020).

My school was ranked in the 150s when I started year 11 in 2018 and then in the 200s when I finished my HSC. It's now ranked in the 300s.

i mean to some extent. Worry more about your rank. Increasing your marks help your rank. So yea work. more on ranks

The ranks matter and the relative gaps between each rank, not the marks
