Call it a hunch or whatever, but I'm starting to doubt that rule of 50/50 internal/external. I just can't see how those Exams could NOT be worth more than our internal things, as it is more fair, as all do the same paper. What if one school has harder assessments/markers than other schools? Also, on our reports, it only had our ranks, not percentages. I would like it if they were 50/50, because I was well above average in 5/7 subjects.

Also, my teacher dropped a hint the other week when I asked him, saying the externals count for "50 PLUS".

Yes. According to cem, your ranks and marks both count. Ranks are the most important factors though. Internal marks are taken into consideration.

Your overall HSC mark is the average between your school assessment mark (internal) and your HSC exam mark (external). So yeah, 50/50.

Yeah. But be aware that internal mark is moderated by external mark depending on your rank.

Yeah, that's what I mean. In effect, internal doesn't really count, but rather, is "considered", as in, subject to change when compared to external mark, other schools, ranks etc... Is this right?

Yeah, you are sorta right. But this "consideration" make a lot of difference too in terms of marks.
