whenever an exam asks you "do you agree....."

should you always answer in the affirmative?

Answer whichever way you think you can get full marks on...If you have a lot of info on the disadvantages then disagree, and vice versa

no you never have to agree with a question. just answer it so it fits with the stuff you memorised before hand.

er.. i mean.... your own opinions and ... er... yea.

using the grammar trial last year as an example

Module B transformation

"the more recent text merely makes the earlier text more relevant to today's audience" Do you Agree?

see, they made "merely" in bold font.......that just gets it confusing

even if my prepared essay does agree with the question, i still dont know if they want me to agree or not

basically im asking if you think teachers are out to get you :p

They can't say you are wrong if you decide to take the other road, but it will usually be harder to get as many marks that way. But it will usually be pretty clear what opinion you should be taking, and that opinion usually is the affirmitive one.

that's a definitely disagree one... like, use some common sense too. if you agreed then you pretty much can't put anything you've learnt

Totally unrelated - There was an exam where the question didn't even ask for a yes or no answer and my first response was 'Yes...*blah blah*' Teehee...suffice to say I got a bad mark :(

i think honestly give your opinion and then give a conclusion which supports the rest of your essay

you dont have to agree
