i am really interested about how i would be ranked in my uai..my subjects are not very up there... i do

standard english, rank: 5/51
Business services, rank: 4/18
religion 1 unit. rank: 6/137
dt, rank: 16/21
art, rank: 6/15
business studies, rank: 34/56

i go to a private school that ranks in the top 20.
would anyone be able to give me a prediction so far??

we may not be able to give you a prediction, but we can however see wht your marks WOULD HAVE BEEN if you had sat the HSC during year 2001-03

lol, must you emphsise that every time.

mabye put it as the motto for BOS.

btw, post some marks too, marks of any kind will help in prediction.

read the readme in JUAIseek2003.

I'm confused, if certain schools get scaled a bit more etc.
How can SAM take that into consideration when predicting your UAI?

No one can really predict UAIs. We can only reduce the range of what you may think your UAI may fall under.

Schools do not get scaled more than others. The School is not taken into account when calculating the UAI.

Would you care to explain how they scale the schools then?

The only thing the board of studies and UAC use are the marks from the HSC exam, and the marks received from the school (which are moderated based on the candidatures HSC performance).

The reason why top schools usually remain top schools is because they enrol the more acedemic students, and thus will usually always end up being better than the lower schools. This gives the impression that top schools get 'scaled' higher.

This is certainly not true.
