For your interview, yes. If you've done well enough to get into the interview with ATAR and UCAT, being able to draw upon your experiences from DoE will definitely help your interview by showing a wide range of extracurricular activities.
As someone who has DoE gold, unless ur trying to get in undergrad, probs not. It helps for undergrad scholarships but that's all I can really see. That's not to say it isn't worthwhile, but if you're going at it solely for the cv, you risk being disappointed
Bonus points for DoE don't really apply anymore, you can only get them for band 5s/6s in certain subjects depending on your degree and these bonus points don't apply for competitive courses like med/dent etc.
