There are other courses at hawkesbury in the low 60s if environmental health or agriculture ain't your thing.

what> there are? the only ones i found were applied science (enviro health) , (enviro management+tourism) and the agriculture + horiculture courses?

btw what were u saying bout the name change..? what will it come up as if i enter the course code for the course that used to be named B Applied science (environmental management + tourism)?

The environment and tourism course should come up as saying retired in the handbook.
The new name is going to be B of tourism (major in natural resource management) it sounds like crud!!!

I can't remember what other courses were in the very low 60s ... i haven't been on uac to have a look ... but there were heaps last year ... however the stupid government has made the uni cut these courses.

The low 60s courses include:
B systems agriculture - 60
B horticulture - 60
B aboriginal studies - 60

also there is a new course starting at hawkesbury called environmental science and management - there is no uai for this cause its new.

yeh i know... bastards.. wait.. does that mean the course (even tho named B Tourism) will be applied science? O.O coz on the uac guide, theres B applied science(environmental management + tourism) and B tourism ..

the other thing that comes to mind is that they got rid of the applied science.. and just made it tourism.. except u can major in enviro management + tourism?

Whats happened is the previous courses:
B of arts (tourism) and B applied science (environmental management and tourism) have almost identical core subjects - so the government decided that it would be easier to combine them therefore reducing places and it also makes elective choosing easier.

Now there is the B of tourism. The arts degree has changed to B of tourism major in cultural heritage while the applied science one has changed to B of tourism major in natural resource management.

The core subejcts of the natural resource management is basically the same as the applied science one ... its basically only a name change.

ahhh crap.. that means that that even further reduces my chances of making it in.. i only have a 0.5-0.8 buffer for it.. damn the government.. hope not that many people apply.. =\

like u said.. it wonly went up by 0.35 uai last year.. but this year theyre all combined into 1 course.. >.<

I'm not really sure if its one course or two cause of the majors.

I can't see it going up by a huge amount cause no one really wants to go to the hawkesbury campus due to the distance and the real lack of transport.

if they put agriculture down theres a guarantee that yeah will get into uni .. just cause a course doesn't have a cut off doesn't mean that u will automatically get in.
