I don't think it really matters. So long as you do well. I did 13 units and some would say that's alot to keep track of, but I got Band 6 in all of them. So, it really depends on whether you're confident or not.

Sometimes it can depend on the subjects you choose though e.g. Business/PD/SOR are all capped at something around 96 (scaled), so if you do all those subjects then your maximum aggregate would be ~480 which might be a UAI of ~99.95 - that's very good, but you'd literally have to come top in the state in all (or almost all) 10 of your units to achieve that.

Generally, I like to think that an average mark of ~90 (aligned) will get you a UAI of high 97s-low98s. However, this will vary greatly from subject to subject. With the subjects you're doing, I'd say a 90 in everything (incl. Ext 2 maths) should get you a 98+ UAI.

Yea - although it makes you wonder when you see people who do 15 or 16 units. You'd need to accelerate Ext 2 maths or english + you'd have 15/16 units in Yr 11...
