Hey everyone,

I'm curious whether we have anything organised for us, or do we just go along with the ANU-provided activities?

Last year there was nothing (although I'm sure partly it was due to it all being new and no one having any idea what should happen). Last year unilodge was fairly stingy with planned social activities: there was a dinner at the end of semmester 1 and a halloween party as an end of semmester 2... there was also going to be a casino night but that fell throgh. There are always people in the common room to hang out with though and the ANU provided stuff looks good this year. And joing the ANU film group is a must.

I doubt it. Unilodge was looking to establish a Resident's Committee for this year but I believe it fell through. The social scene at Unilodge is worse than Fenner's which is depressing considering that it's the model that the university is moving towards with Unilodge 2 and 3 going up soon and Fenner set to be demolished some time within the next four to five years.

Fenner's going to be... DEMOLISHED?! But it's in prime-position! I'd at least hope they're going to replace it with a 'Fenner II' or something.

considering the shortage of anu accom i think they will have to. Unless UL 2/3 can pick up the slack.

Hmmm, but if there's a shortage, won't demolishing a perfectly good residence hall add to the shortage? :p
