WHEN u get 1-3 marks off a band 6. not just in 1 subject. in effin 3 subjects. I got 89% in bio. 88% in modern and 87% in english....GRRR

If not: BOS takes into account the harder and easier tests set( and marked) by different schools and moderates the marks given in by the schools accoriding to how the students perform in the HSC exam

On topic, it really doesn't matter to me personally if I get 89s, 88s, etc. as long as a good rank is received.

^ true, very true indeed - marks are insignificant compared to rank although it is a given that u will get pissed off if you come so close to a particular mark range u were aiming for and just missed out. this has happened to be a number of times before and it made me want to pour gasoline on the person who came first and set them on fire lol

Missing out on 1 mark from a band 6 doesnt 'pee' me off, hearing people complain about it is whats annoying. 89's and such are awesome marks, and if you cant see that then ure freaking blind.

I guess. Tho the only time that happened was during SC. Come to think of it, all my marks were either just above or below certain bands XD

Eng - 90 (Right on B6 ^.^; )
Maths - 91 (1 mark above B6)
Sci - 79 (1 mark below B5)
Geo - 79 (1 mark below B5)
Hist - 69 (1 mark below B4)

I never thought I'd end up doing phys and chem in the HSC with my abysmal sci marks >.>;
