you can have spacing with format > font then character spacing

Fiddling with character spacing makes essays look pretty bad. I'd recommend line spacing adjusting and and margin tweaking before resorting to character spacing.

you can have spacing with format > font then character spacing

It's floating around in the toolbar called Formatting. If you haven't got that (you should, it has bold, centre, font colour, borders, etc...), right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar, as I have, and get it back by hitting Formatting.

Then you click the arrow next to the particular box and go down to 2.0. =)

2.0 justified Times New Roman's my default style, so meh. *shrugs*

this on a slight tangent, but when do people "format" their work? Prior to, during or after the writing process?

Reason I ask is because I can't stand double-spacing, unless I'm reading a hard copy (so double-spacing is always the last thing I do). I always have to go back to normal line spacing when editing/reading/writing- even if people send me stuff to critique that's double-spaced, I have to go into formatting and revert it back before I'm able to read it

of course its lines, what use would double spacing words be?

they do this so they can write comments in between.

i prefer to read on single spacing but when i start getting really sick of the essay i need a change and double spacing becomes easier to read.

I format at the end - but usually when I'm at around 75% completion of an essay, I have to turn up the zoom as my ocular muscles have stopped working from staring at the computer screen so long.

Just curious, which takeovers did you discuss in the assignment? (I'm guessing it's for ACCG310 as I remember seeing that line on the assignment sheet.)
