drawing displacement/time graphs (1 Viewer)

hi guys i've forgotten completely how to draw these kind of graphs.

heres the question: draw a graph of a particle, displacement against time for a wave having a frequency of 100Hz and an amplitude 400mm. (Use time scale of 10mm=1ms and displacement scale of 10mm = 100)

any ideas how it would look.

i dunno but Hz=1/s so work it out from there. U shud b able to draw it now. so t is on the horizontal axis while d is on the vertical. So first convert Hz to s and amp is the max height/displacement so at max time the the dis is 400mm.

If you are being told to graph with units of ms, you will need to convert from units of frequency to period.
This is a really simple calculation:
T=1/f
=1/100Hz
=0.01s
=10ms
So this means 10ms per wavelength (ie 100mm per wavelength).

according to the frequency we can easily find out the period, and then just plot the graph in scale.
