it's now term one of 2004 but we all know year 12 course started last year...so i should drop from 2u to general now, before the half yearlies, right???

pros and cons please

hard for me to catch up??

disadvantaged if i go to uni...as in make it harder for myself...say if i was gonna do accounting...and i went for cadetship interviews...would it disadvantage me??

....how bout any course in uni...will it kill me cause i did general??

i really dont like 2u...and it's the only subject i dont like....will general scale me down?? if i do good in general is it better than if i go crap in 2u??

Please Help !! i wana make the right decision

thanks...

it depends what course you wanna study in uni.
not all courses require maths.
for example if you want to study business or arts you wont need much maths at all.
but if you want to study Engineering or IT or Science you may need at least 2U maths knowledge or even 3U

apparently on a chair
i would personally stick with 2u
a lot of courses have it as assumed knowledge and it scales more than general
general is more for ppl who are crap at maths but still have/want to do it
by doing 2u it shows you have a slight edge over general ppl

if you have 10 units (exlcuding maths) that you believe you will do well in AND if you do not wish to pursue a course at uni that require a higher level of mathematical knowledge, then DROP 2U MATHS for GENERAL MATHS IMMEDIATELY.

Based on personal experience, 2U isn't worth your time if you both do poorly in it and hate it in addition to not needing it.

it depends how you are going, and how it is affecting your self esteem. if you're doing average in 2u, working and it is making you depressed, it can be a good idea to drop because it's not worth the trouble. but if you are doing average and are prepared to work harder 9if you have not been working) then keep it as hard work does always pay off in maths.

yeah but they do do different things to 2u, so you will need to go through the book and check you understand everything, it could be time consuming. but maybe not as time consuming as doing 2u. ask your school as maybe they wont let you drop aftyer the 1/2 yearlies
