i know this sounds stupid but please help

hyperbola
b²=a²(e²-1)

i'm sure you can make e the subject

And they are swapped for conjugate ellipses/hyperbolas.

ie. b > a for ellipses.
y^2/b^2 - x^2/a^2 = 1 for hyperbolas.
