OMG Cimbom is here!!

*hugs Cimbom and doesn't let go*

Thanks for the marginal distribution, will try it out tomorrow.. Also, I also did the coefficient of correlation the long way (or it might be the only way), but then I keep thinking how in the world can they fit this question into a 2omin test??

K I'm up to part 3 now, did 2a).b) make sense to you? I think I have the right formula but the answers are weird.... and my friend doesn't seem to get any better answers either, so I'm wondering what you got?

Yeah, I lent mine to someone yesterday.

Furthermore, I'm fairly sure Part 3 of Quiz 3 is identical to last year.

OH. MY. GAWD.

THANK YOU BROGAN!!

I already did some last night (all nighter), but I can see now that I got b) wrong as I followed the same principles in a) when I shouldn't have - as they each have different slopes. :)

btw Anyone know how to get G,I,J,K? Something about regression lines? Well, off to Uni I go - I don't have any classes - but I'm going to have to try to find that 'Berenson' book, although it probably won't be there. *sigh*

PS Thanksalot Cimbom, Brogan. :)

what971- are you here? which questions do you need help with?

yeah with part2 they stuffed up some numbers. and apparently for covariance in b you need to divide
sum(xi- xbar)(yi- ybar) by (n-1). so covariance is 2859.2/14 = 204.2286 (4.dp.)

Hey Cimbom! *luvz*

No, I think I'm fine now, had a two-hour mobile phone convo with friend while we were doing it (oh my... *thinks of the next bill* :( )

I know I'm not going to get 100% but as long as I remember it properly I'll pass and that's all asking for. :)

Good Luck with your ECMT exam!!
