Today our economics class went to a Pre-Federal Budget Breakfast held by Bloomberg this morning! Only a couple of school students and Macquarie students were there! I thought it was a great morning and it was highly educational!

The guests speakers were really good and we're really entertaining at times!

ummm...cant remember all of the speakers but ill name the ones i can remember

Don Stammer...
errmmmm...John Hewsen....

and some labour senator (used to do financial something)

i dunno
they touched on a lot of issues, including the Budget, SARS, Japanese/US economics.

Anything nifty in particulary about what they said about SARS/Asia/Tourism ? Like some handy statistics ?

argh i was meant to go to that but i um slept in...im still kickin myself!

classmates filled me in though they said the same thing (only two schools were there i think). they said the building was awesome and the details pretty sophisticated...nobody understood the bonds thing about the budget. the giant bloomberg bag with freebies is like a walking promotion though.

omg i loved the bloomberg bags

there was this mirror thing for a computer monitor
it was so funny
like a rearview vision mirror
funny ass shit
how lazy can you be!? cant be bothered to swivel around?
hehe

yeah actually the bonds market wasnt that confusing
when they started to talk about some banking policies was when it started getting out of hand
i dont think the panelists knew what they were talking about then...only that labour senator!

hehe

yeah they were talking about how the government shouldnt get rid of the bond market coz it will be needed in the "inevitable recession" we'll have within the next 10 years..

then they started talking about how clinton did all this stuff to the US economy and when Bush came into power, he just reversed it all back! but they said that bcoz he changed everything back, the dumbarse would probably be re-elected for a 2nd term!
