What is the best way to structure a succinct economics response (800 words) ?? PLEASE HELP!
Is it better to structure it like:

1.
Intro
B1: - claim/explain, counter argument, concluding sentence
B2 " "
B3" "
Conclusion

or

2.
Intro
B1: Claim/explain
B2: " "
B3: " "
B4: Counter Argument
Conclusion

Also are we supposed to refer to one graph for the whole response (if so do we introduce graph under intro or new paragraph)
or
we show a new graph per paragraph (e.g. multiplier effect graph only linking to economic growth)

I like to put the argument and counter argument together, cause I find it easier, and I'm pretty sure it's better, cause it's a direct comparison/juxtaposition

oh and include a graph to further your argument. e.g. the international trend towards globalisation and decreased protection allow efficient firms to increase output and hence achieve economies of scale. Then put in an LRAC (long run avg. cost) curve showing the firms cost of production moving towards the technical optimum, and because of this higher output, find it cheaper to produce, lowering prices for the good/service internationally.

This for the majority of the time. And not everything needs a counter argument however if you think of them of course include them in your discussion because it adds sophistication to your response.

Graphs are essentially used as evidence for what you are discussing in your paragraphs. There are other forms of evidence though, such as quotes, statistics, economic models (that aren't graphs) and formulae, economic theses, anecdotes, etc.

Also if you begin to feel more confident in your eco essay writing you could try breaking up your 3-4 body paragraphs into smaller paragraphs. Year 11 is the best time to experiment with this.
