In the introduction be short, concise, explain what the content of the essay will contain and try to integrate syllabus words and definitions.
In the body paragraphs, start with a topic sentence, definition and explanation of theory. Integrate real world examples or important statistics. Attempt to also link theories together, for example unemployment, inflation and Phillips curve, or Lorenz curve and economic growth. One other important feature is to discuss positives and negatives throughout the response.
Treat the essay like a debate, and signpost and use numbers, for example: there are three issues with economic growth..
