From 2008 the following Disciplines will be transferred to the new School of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts:

* Discipline of Government and International Relations
* Discipline of Political Economy

So will the School of Social Sciences replace a current school or be additional to the current three?

Not cool, ECOP for instance may get slightly more respect, but it won't get any more funding, the Arts faculty is poor.

Can we expect GOVT to come up with a list of 2008 units any time soon? Picking units for next year is a great way to procrastinate, and essay season is starting so I need as many methods of procrastination as possible.

Go to the timetable unit, type in 'GOVT' for sem 1/sem 2, 2008, and it'll give you an idea of what units are available, that's how i've been looking them (and ECOP) up in the meantime.
