Personally I'm planning on getting a regular 13-15 inch laptop for uni.

I doubt a few extra kilos is going to kill me, and the extra power, performance, and utility is well worth the effort.

I know exactly what I want...

You'll be surprised at how annoying it can get lugging a laptop with you to uni everyday. The nice thing about an Eee PC is that you can chuck it in whatever bag you take. It can even fit in some handbags.

Mind if I ask where you bought it? Have you installed XP on it?

I bought it from JB HIFI for 472 the guy gave me a deal. No XP atm has a modified Xandros linux distro which is simple as to use since its trying to aim for Windows users.

Forget installing XP on your EeePC. The OS in it is there for ease of use. It's designed with Microsoft Windows users in mind.

4 gigs for $500?

personally id go for a low priced real laptop for the increased functionality.

Your paying money for the fact that it's light weight basically.

That laptop reminds me of a computer i had once, it had a hard drive of about 4.75 gigs or something.

That was 10 years ago.
Do you even know what the Eee PC is? Have you seen or held one? They're extremely small and light. People obviously buy it for its portability and not secondary storage capacity.
