They marked the log book a bit tough...It would be cool if they do it like in Phys,if u go to the lab u get full mark :p

omg the past paper looks so hard i dont know how to do question 1 and they dont show working in the answeres, its just the final answer only that they show.

and i cant belive we cant use a calculator, i mean wtf how am i expected to do this shit in my head.

how much is a pass, im only going to pass if a pass is like answering 1 question correctly, not to mention i nearly failed the log book anyway

yeah exactly. hence my earlier comment. i have no idea how to work out 16 to the power of anything besides 0 or 1.

also in the 2002 paper, one question is like "Convert 25691 to hex" ... hence you have to divide without a calculator 25691 by 16, and then the result of that by 16. ffs.

dude converting a decimal to hexadecimal has alternative ways besides dividing, you just have to convert the number to binary and then from that point on we know that a hexadecimal is as of 4 bit representation i.e. a nybble as some may say, break them up into nybble equiavalents and from each nybble convert it back to a decimal.

yea i tried computing ln 1000 000 / ln 8 lol it was a little hard :p

when they say how many octal digits needed to represent numbers upto 20000.......how do you do that without calc? lol
