The one i use is Office Outlook but i am looking for something i can use with gmail, yahoo, hotmail and my student account.
Right now, office can only be used with hotmail and my student account.
Any suggestions or help?

I use mozilla thunderbird for unimails, gmail and isp mail. You can also use it for hotmail too but havent tried it.

gmail now has POP support so you should be able to access it through any email client.

Hotmail and yahoo don't support POP from what I remember unless you pay.. and hotmail can only be checked through MS products :S but they're notoriously insecure.

Try:

Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/
Eudora: http://www.eudora.com/

I've used both and I only changed to TB because it has excellent threading.

Outlook migrating to Thunderbird.

Still use web based for gmail - easier to check, and the stacked replies (especially in many replies in email) are much easier to read.

excellent threading means that all posts from person a with subject b are threaded (stacked).. gmail doesn't do it quite as well (something to do with case sensitivity between re: and RE:, I think).

I would probably have stuck with Eudora but thunderbird was a new exciting thing to try.. and it integrates better with my browser than Eudora did (from memory) .. also takes less memory :p

probably eudora is about 7/10 and thunderbird 8.5/10. perfect solution doesn't exist yet. using gmail for all mail (forwarding to my gmail.com address) is also a nice idea, esp if you have a few accounts

yeah, that is because outlook starts windows messenger automatically.

Thunderbird isn't perfect yet, still some minor random bugs.

I love the way google desktop threads all your outlook email... kindof like the way gmail does.

That said: I use outlook 2003, mainly because i just havent been bothered to try something else.

outlook 2003 is pretty good compared to the prior versions

go the video emails :D

Lotus Notes... errr. there's that dumb compatibility issue with businesses using Lotus notes and outlook/exchange.
something about sending attachments. Everything must be in 'HTML' or 'Plain text' format in Outlook, so that lotus ppl can receive them. Otherwise they come out at *.dat files.

If you own a laptop which connects to your work, it's probably best to use their own email client. Found it much simpler.
