What are the employment opportunities like for Finance majors and Investment grads compared to Accounting, cause i want to change my major from Accounting to finance, but was thinking i should keep some Accounting units

It can't hurt to have some knowledge in Accounting. I've found that it's somewhat relevant across the spectrum of Business/Commerce occupations.

stick to accoutning my brother... finance graduates are hard pressed for jobs if they dunt have any other skills - u can do accoutning, hopefulli get a good job in a large organisation then do a postgrad diploma in finance.. that way at least ur in the corporate scene - ive heard that its realli easy to move around, just relatively hard to get in....

but anyways, cant u double major?

regardless i would say do an acocunting major and a minor or another major in finance...

i say do accounting like i am . or maybe if u dont , then theres that one extra space for me to get a job. hmm either way do what u want

Most ppl do double major, finance is what they want to do (because of the $$$) but most of them end up in accounting (which has a really good balance in terms of hrs worked and $$$ earned).
