So basically I've been given this assessment, and I wouldn't mind any ideas or help that I can use to implement towards this assessment.

So the aim of this assessment is to basically :

Create a Rubber Band Vehicle that will need to carry a weight over a distance of at least 1 meter.

Any ideas on what material I should use ? Something light, but has enough strength to sustain the load and go past the one meter range.

Other ideas cocerning wheels, material, shape of the vehicle would be appreaciated. Also the vehicle will be driven over carpet.

Thanks in advanced ! :)

Well try and think of the criteria it needs to perform the function,
A high weight: power ratio
High mechanical advantage (less power for more work)

So I suggest trying to use balsa in the non-structural parts of it and experiment with the wheel sizes. Hope it helps. Good luck!

Think about how you can efficiently use every piece. If something adds weight, you want to get the most strength out of that member. Some simple balsa trusses or angled braces can add rigidity.
