Recently got into Engineering/ Science @ UNSW and was wondering during the application process, they require a major selection. Though i've subjects taken are uniform across the board for engineering courses so that leaves me to beg the question the selection of a major now. Can you pick a different major at the end of your first year? E.g. Civil --> Petroleum?

Cheers! :jump::confused2:

Yes you can change anytime. Really is not a big issue since all first year engineering do the same subjects.

If it's under the same "program", you can change any time. If it's a whole "program" change, basically changing Schools or changing a combined degree etc., then you will have to change during the internal transfer period.
