Section III:

In your essay you are to write about your prescribed text and 2 of your own ORT's.

Is it okay to talk about 5 techniques from your prescribed text and 3 techniques each from your ORT's ?

wait... that would make 11 techniques in 40 mins right? Are you sure that you will be able to write down an indepth analysis for a band 6 mark because 11 techniques seems a strenuous thing to pull off. I imagine you'd only really be able to do that if you actually knew the actual essay question.

Edit: I think 3 in your prescribed text and 2 each for your ORTs... 8 may seem a bit too little but it's good enough to write in 40 mins with analysis

How about 4 techniques for prescribed text and 2 techniques each for the ORT's?

Yeah i think that is ok too... 7-9 techniques is good enough as long as you make sure you answer the question with your techniques. It's fine to have 11 techniques prepared just in case other techniques don't suit the question but 7-9 in the test is good
