Hey we have this english essay to do on Emma/Clueless (worth 15%).

The statement is: "to what extent does an understanding of Emma influence your response to Clueless?"

can someone please explain what this question is asking coz im not too sure about it?

is there any important pointers to consider when answering this question?

so basically,

1.u can say how b4 u studied transformation, clueless is juz a teenpic about.. <balh blah> while emma is <balhbalh> contextual diff. here!

2.comparing the two texts. outline basic similarity in plot, character, values

3. body - do value by value or less integrated, do by text by text

4. sum up the whole thing. that u realised clueless is more than a teenpic thing, it is a transformation of emma as it resonates wif the known..and etc. XD

hey thanks for the help, it has helped clear up a few things, however im still kinda confused
btw, i don't want to ask my teacher for help coz she's the type that would end up making it even more confusing for me grrrrr
