Hey what raw mark do you need to get at least band 5 or 6 for Adv. English?

around 83-85/105 i think.

ive estimated my raw to be like 84-85/105, so hopefully will be a band 6. if not, high band 5 will suffice.

Band 6 is supposed to be 89+/105 raw (source: advice line & marker at our school)
but of course it depends on the cohort & how hard they judge the exam to be.
But generally 89+ raw = band6 apparently.

Yea 89 sounds about right. Basically Band 6 (13-15,17-20) for each essay on average. Thats the feeling I get.

Is it possible to scrape into a Band 5 with a 75/105 ?????

then definitely no band 6 for me. depending on how harshly they mark my BNW/BNR and Lear responses... i know i got like 12/20 for Mod C... and for Area of Study.. well i reckon i went well there.... who knows actually.

But highly unlikely im getting a band 6.
