Hi, I'm doing the Commerce/Science(AdvMath) - 3523 degree, link:
UNSW Handbook Program - Commerce/Science(AdvMath) - 3523
and am unsure as to what courses/classes to pick for sem1 and what I would have to pick later for sem2.

I would like to pick acturial studies as a major for commerce (UNSW Handbook Program - Commerce - 3502), and I have permission to quantitative risk (UNSW Handbook Plan - Quantitative Risk - MATHR13986) as the major for adv maths (UNSW Handbook Program - Advanced Mathematics - 3986).

Thanks

The handbook suggests to do 12 uocs of science and 12 uocs of commerce core courses for both commerce and adv science during first semester and second semester (i.e. 2 science courses + 2 commerce courses).

e.g. sample plan
semester 1:
ACCT1501
ECON1101
MATH1151
SCIF1021 (only offered in semester 1)

semester 2:
ACTL1001 (only offered in semester 2)
ACCT1511
MATH1251
MATH1081 (or COMP1911 for computing component)

Of course you don't have to follow this, you can make some changes. Just make sure you read and meet the prerequisites for second year courses so you can enrol into them later on without any troubles.
