Hi, I'm going to enrol this Feb and I still have some stupid questions to ask, please don't laugh and answer it one by one. Thanks!
1. This is the first half of the year, so I can only register for subject that is D1 or D3, is that right?
2. Once I have chosen a subject, could I choose my tutorial class and lecture, as well as tutor or lecturer, or they will be randomly assigned?
3. What should I study for the 1st semester as I'm a BAppFin student
4. Do I need a recorder to record lecture? As far as I know there is e-lecture in uni website but not all lecture are recorded for students.

Please help me soon, thank you a lot :)

I will try and answer this the best i can.

1. For the first half you can only enrol in a subject that is either D1 or E1 (D2 and E2 are for the second semester).

2. If you use the timetable generator on macquaries website you will get something like this for one unit (subject). Timetables @ Macquarie

Now the F stands for first year, 1 for semester 1, and D for day. In this situation you have to do atleast 1 class from lecture_1, 1 class from lecture_2 and 1 class from tutorial_1. Since lecture_1 and lecture_2 only have one class per activity you are forced to do them. Since there is a few classes for the tutorial you can to choose one of them.

3. If you take a look at this page:

Program of Study - 2009 Course Handbook - Macquarie University

You will notice if gives you a set of core units. You are required to complete these units to qualify for graduation. By adhering to the restrictions they have placed and choosing your appropiate electives (22) you can determine what subjects you have to complete. Make sure you use this page:

Units by Code - 2009 Course Handbook - Macquarie University

To check each unit individually so you can determine whether you will have the appropiate prerequisites for later study. Don't worry about the core units as they are designed in a way to ensure you can do that later units (assuming you past the previous ones XD).

4. Ilecture: iLecture - Macquarie International - Macquarie University

is used to record lectures so if you miss one you can catch up easily and watch it from your home. This can also be used if you didn't completely understand a lecture or something. Not all subjects have these, just ask your lecturer if he does have them on the first day.

Cheers.

Hello. Thanks a lot for your help, its greatly helpful
I just have a little thing left to be concerned

As it shown, there are 6 class for ACST151, right? So why do I have to take part in Class_01. And, how come there is 2 lectures and 1 tutorial for class 01 while there is only 1 period for each of the other classes (dont know lecture of tutorial?)

Thanks

If it says lec1, lec2, lec3, etc.. you have to attend ALL of them..

if it says
lec1 - class 01 or class 02, you just have to pick one of those lectures, i.e. you just go to one

pretty much that picture above says

for Lecture 1 there is one class, for lecture 2 there is one class, for tutorial there are a lot of classes and so you just ahve to pick one of them
