It's around 95. But over the past few years have they accepted people lower than this? Eg/ Does anyone know of examples where people with ATARs around 93-94 that got an offer?

I got in with an ATAR under the cutoff. I've heard of people with high 93's/low 94's getting in.

I got 94.8, which got me into combined law/commerce for which the cutoff is 95.9. I got in first round so I guess you could make it in 2nd or final round with an ATAR less than mine. Last year MQ had vacancies in nearly all their combined law degrees.

Just to add some input - you have several ways of getting into law if you don't make the ATAR.

1) Internal transfer - get a GPA of at least 3.00/4.00 (credit average) and you will be eligible for an internal transfer
2) UAC application - do some university so that your tertiary results count and reapply via UAC. You may also want to consider the STAT test.
3) Graduate law - do well in your degree and apply for entry via graduate law
4) Law via Distance - provided you are 21 and over you may apply for law via distance if you're desperate (part time basis but I think they may be flexible in allowing you to up this a bit)

NB. All this is specific to MAQ uni only.

1) Internal transfer - get a GPA of at least 3.00/4.00 (credit average) and you will be eligible for an internal transfer
So a credit average generally guarantees me a transfer?
2) UAC application - do some university so that your tertiary results count and reapply via UAC. You may also want to consider the STAT test.
How would the STAT test help?
3) Graduate law - do well in your degree and apply for entry via graduate law
For graduate law does a credit average suffice like in transfers?

Politic, i'm going to say it again, you're asking for really specific academic advice, now its great that people know how the system works, but if you really want official answers, go ask macquarie university administration itself, because if someone here gives you the wrong advice, you're fucked.

Post on there.
