I would like to know what sort of enter/weighted umat scores are required for entry to dental science at melbourne university (csp or full fee).

How different are they to those needed for medicine?

I managed to get CSP offers for dentistry at both UMelb and UQ. I got an OP 1 (I'm from QLD), which is the equivalent of an ENTER score of 99+ and a UMAT score of 198. I'd assume that the ENTER/UMAT scores needed for dentistry would be very similar to those required for medicine (though maybe a fraction lower).

is it usually easier than medicine to get in?
Marginally.

Old table taken from another forum but gives you a general idea.

ENTER steam:
Enter required was 99.95 - 99.85 with a weighted UMAT of 255 - 193

UMAT steam:
Enter required was 99.95 - 96.15 with a weighted UMAT of 324 - 257

ENTER/UMAT steam:

Enter required was 99.85 – 99.65 with a weighted UMAT of 252 – 229

ENTER = UAI. Weighted UMAT = They double the score that you get in Section 1.
Depends what you mean by above average and as a result of the double weighting of section 1, it depends how well you do in section 1.

ok lets think about it this way. what would be the minimum percentile i would need for each of the sections with a uai of 98? (just an example: 95, 93, 95 for section 1, 2 and 3 respectively).
Close to 100 for all 3 I'd reckon. But it depends HOW WELL because the 100th percentile covers a very large range of marks (typically 75-100+) and also which section the 100th percentile is in, if any.
