hey for the pracs on enzymes, if i was using 2ml of pepsin, what would be a good amount of substrate to have, e.g eggwhite

i dont think it really matters as long as it is equal for all tests, but not too much

maybe 10mL? just pulling the number out of thin air, but it sounds alright to me.

Amount of Substrate

hey for the pracs on enzymes, if i was using 2ml of pepsin, what would be a good amount of substrate to have, e.g eggwhite

When we did this pract our teacher told us that the smount of substrate does not matter as long as it is kept constant in all test tubes and is balanced with whatever else you a putting in. e.g. you can put 10ml of sugar in a test tube and expect it to dissolve in 2ml of water.
