Pah! I've been on hol's all week, and in our last lesson we barely started relativity. My school's a bit like that, we haven't finished the modern core yet, or the prelim maths course! HA! Gotta love it.

But if you use 'we', you are implying that your whole class could see my message. Think of it this way, some guy walks up to you, and you're alone. So he asks "Hey man, got a dollar?" and you say "No, we don't". It's that simple!

well, escape velocity is the minimum initial velocity to escape the earth's gravitational field.
its only a theoretical number since nothing can really be shot out of a canon into space (due to technology - and also humans cannot resist the g-forces)
... therefore we use rockets to provide a constant force and thus less g-forces on the astronaut
