NOTE: with Hoover, the first question will always be a straight "tell us all you know about Hoover" question (for people reading this in the distant future, ie, from 2006, this is subject to change.) It is also worth mentioning that the second question, can only ever come from three questions. More than not, they will be asking you to assess Hoover's contribution to
  • conservatism
  • anti communism
  • or law enforcement

Thats why I wish I did Hoover instead of Hearst...with Hearst they can ask all kind of random ones like:
Outline Hearsts business life...or personal life...or contribution to the newspapers of USA...

Then again, apparently only 90 kids Hearst last year (!) so I have a good chance of whipping arse in that section... :D

(ii) 'Despite her early achivements in the liberation of women, Kollontai was unable to withstand the reversals in the status of women under Stalin'.
In the light of this statement, asses the role of Alexandra Kollontai in achieving social reforms for women.

2001 HSC:
(i) Outline the main events in the life of Alexandra Kollontai between 1917 and 1945.
(ii) Asses Alexandra Kollontai's role in changing women's lives and experiences in the Soviet Union.

2002 Trial (Catholic trial paper):
(i) Outline the ideas and political ideas which influenced Alexandra Kollontai between 1917 and 1945.
(ii) Asses the influence of Alexandra Kollontai's ideas on the growth of the socialist movement.

...getting a good pattern evolving here.
