Ok guys. i didnt know where to put this but figured a deb would be classed as a social activity...so yeah.

My brother is currently a Partner for a Debutante. Is it an expectation that he buys his partner a gift?

Mum reckons it is, dad reckons it isnt. Does anyone here know for certain?

Thanks for your help.

at our deb some people did, some didn't
tell him to ask his partner what she wants to do, exchange gifts or not

i partnered a chick and sometimes its appropriate for the guy to buy the chick a cossage or whatever they are, but the one i was at she actually gave me a present for being such a nice partner and turning up to practice or something like that.

Probably best to ask her.

Its usually standard for the guy to get the girl a corsage (as it is with most formal functions) but in terms of an actual gift, its probably best to ask.
