except heaps of energy is required for cooling as wellThe energy required would be significantly less with superconductors. You can but why waste heeps of energy?

LOL so what?But apparently there is concern for having large magnetic fields produced hence is a safety concern and lead to the very first superconducting train in America to be shut down.
